The Legal Process
How our legal process works at Michael Hill Partnership
How Our Process Works
At Michael Hill Partnership, we aim to provide a smooth legal process for all of our clients. To give you an idea how our process works, please see our six-step guide below:
1. Contact Us
In order to begin your process, you should contact us using one of the methods below. During the initial contact, please include a brief description of your enquiry so we know which expert to direct you towards.
2. Instructing Our Experts to Act
A solicitor will get in touch with you to confirm instructions to act. They will be your point of contact throughout the legal process.
A meeting can be arranged at our offices if there is a need to do so.
3. Client Care
Upon receipt of your initial instructions, you will be issued with a client care letter. The purpose of this letter is to confirm your instructions and provide you with a clear explanation of your options and any issues that may arise during the process.
Your client care letter will also include Terms of Business as well as a fee estimate for your matter. You will receive an update should the fees surrounding your legal matter change. You will also be provided with a named contact should you have any further queries.
4. Progressing Your Matter
Your matter will be dealt with in a timely manner and you will be updated at all key stages.
5. File Closure & Storage
Before closing your file, you will be issued with a file closing letter which will detail any future steps that you may want to take. You will be informed of your right to reclaim any documentation which you initially submitted to us.
In the event that you do not want to claim anything from your file, it will be archived appropriately and securely destroyed after the appropriate length of storage time has passed.
6. Maintaining Relationships
As your matter draws to a close, we understand that you may need further assistance in the future, be it a will, an LPA or another legal matter.
At Michael Hill Partnership we pride ourselves on the long-standing relationship we build with our clients and hope we can be of assistance to yourselves in the future.
